HAPPY FEET SPECIAL DAYCARE
HAPPY FEET is a daycare centre for special needs children, situated at 22 Fontein Road, Cleary Estate, Port Elizabeth, South Africa. VOLUNTEERS / INTERNS work with and attend to the children within the framework of their daily programme. You will learn how to work with children with disabilities. You will have great interaction with both staff and kids from whom you will learn new cultures and with whom you can share your own experiences and way of life.
For both the staff and children, you, sharing your own life experiences and way of life, opens a wonderful window for them to the outside world. HAPPY FEET’s 3-member staff lovingly cares for 20 children from disadvantaged areas. The Daycare is not subsidized and funding is, like most of the smaller projects, a continuous challenge. Volunteers / Interns are under the supervision of the Teachers of the Daycare and the Manager of the Cleary Park Cheshire Home.
